I think that with gold over $1,000 that people are going to be able to recycle their old gold jewelry for cash for a long time. This setup probably doesn’t make sense at $500 an ounce, but we will probably not see gold that low for… ever? So the gold jewelry craze will continue indefinitely I think.

And, I think that it is really to the benefit of everyone in this lousy economy. The people are getting some quick spending money for jewelry that they do not wear anymore and the refiners are reselling at the higher price.

With the dollar declining Gold is the sound investment. So people are rushing to buy more gold creating even more demand and driving the price up. So if you want to shed your Jewelry then more power to you. Local pawn shops have recognized this and there is little need in big cities to send your jewelry off to some unknown place.

It’s a pity when someone has to sell off their gold jewelry, but then you can’t wear it all the time, and you can’t take it with you when you die!

Really man, jeweleries has become the best friend of some people in recent time who were in need of money and they sold some of their Gold and got much higher returns from it because of the market situations.

I agree it is sad, but you have to do what you have to do. My personal opinion is gold is going to go much higher in the next year.So if you have the option of holding onto it that’s what I would do.

selling gold jewelry is a good way to cash out. I would sell out of fashion jewelry first and then use that money to upgrade my jewelry collection. Why keep jewelry you don’t plan on wearing anymore?
